The Beauty Of Eight Hour Cream.

Ever just want a ‘do it all’ product when it comes to skin care? I know this time last year, that was me. With all the changing seasons and the oiliness, dryness and dehydration that comes with it, i searched and searched for something that would work wonders in aiding the process. I finally found it!

The Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream is that exact product. I tend to get dry lips, the occasional burn from my curlers and chapped dry hands (especially through winter). The Eight Hour Cream provides for all by moisturising those stubborn dry areas, healing any burns or scars and hydrating those chapped lips. Thats but to name only a few of its wonders.

The Eight Hour Cream is also known for its pungent scent, which of course could be a downside to this product, however you can buy the unscented, i much prefer the original as, to be honest, the unscented smells worse! I also really like to use this product on my cuticles at night, message through my brows to hydrate and help them grow, (it does work a little i find) and apply to my knees and elbows on occasion. Though, there any many other wonders of this product i must say, if you are on like me. Then this is something you should maybe invest in, ask for as a birthday/Christmas Present or just save for. It last a life time!

Its All About Lips Tutorial

Hey Guys!

Todays Post is about a video on my channel today. I decided to create an Autumn/Fall makeup look that would show how to create a simple easy to do eye-look and how you can create multiple looks by switching up your lipsticks.

The eye look consisted of a soft fresh defined crease, something cool but with red/plum hues to go along with the autumn theme. Then a soft shimmer gold, champagne or silver shade all over the lip to create a current glossy/wet look. Finish off with some flick liner and mascara and its onto the lips.

My Lip looks ranged from Soft wearable nudes to deep berry plums. All the shades however in this look are wearable on a day to day basis and look pretty transitioning into Autumn/Fall from Summer.

Check my Video out HERE and let me know your thoughts! 🙂

P.S the sun kept coming in and out, sorry guy. IMG_3526IMG_3518 IMG_3520IMG_3529

Origins Review | Plantscription Power Serum

Hi Guys

Todays post is on my love for Origins! I have used Origins products for over a year now and they are one of my favourite skincare brands! Although the products are a little pricey, to me they are worth it and last such a long time.

My main focus today is on some of my favourite masks and a new exclusive serum!

Origins were kind enough to send me the Plantscription Anti-Aging Power Serum* to review and i have to say… its a LOVE!

It’s their biggest launch this year and it contains 20 essential plant extracts including Bamboo and Pea extract, Crithmum from France and Commiphora from India to name but a few. This powerful anti-aging serum claims to be perfect for helping reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, it also helps the skin to look firmer and lifted to reveal a more youthful radiant looking skin complexion.  At first of course I’m always a little skeptical about these kind of products, and because I’m only 21 knowing i don’t need such a powerful product (yet) i thought i would give it to my Mum to try. I wanted to see how it worked instantly when applied to the skin and in long term application.

So when my mum first applied the serum there wasn’t a huge difference but it was there, her skin looked a little more smoothed out and softer. After almost a week of application once to twice a day. I noticed a little difference in her skin appearance but nothing drastic. My mum is not one for wearing a lot or if any makeup on a day to day basis so this was a perfect opportunity to see honest results. After asking what her thoughts were on the product she said “I thought it felt silky to start with and didn’t feel sticky through the day which was nice, I must say though, when i had a few hours in the sun my face went a little stingy even though i had SPF and a tan”.

I also decided to use this product on myself a couple times just to see if it would make a difference on younger skin. I chose to apply this product after a night with a little cheeky glad of red as alcohol dehydrates the skin and can cause visible fine lines to appear. The results were incredible, the way it made my skin feel and look, almost like healthy new skin. though i did find that the results didn’t last days. It was a short term skin fix but perfect for prepping the skin for a big evening do, or event.

I think with all products you apply to the skin you should be careful the check ingredients to see if you are allergic to anything. Everyones skin reacts differently to products so this is were the best bit comes in…

Origins are doing Testers when customers purchase any full size Origins serum or moisturiser at Origins counters nationwide or Origins.co.uk, they will receive 3 free deluxe skincare samples. 1 sample set per customer transaction, while supplies last or until 15.09.14. (Customers don’t need an offer code if shopping online, they can simply select their choice of 3 when promoted at checkout). So this is a perfect time to try out the serum before you go ahead and purchase the full size bottle! I love this serum for days when my skin is feeling a little dehydrated, flat and lifeless.

My Other favourite Products from Origins are the Face Masks, as i am a huge fan of being gentle to the skin where possible, these masks from origins are perfect. For starters they smell incredible, like peaches and oranges mixed together with a honey spoon. They feel soft and soothing on the skin and the masks that are a little more intense (Charcoal Mask) really work at pulling all the dirt and grime from the skin, leaving it feeling clean, refreshed and healthy. The three masks I’m loving right now are Ginzing Refreshing Face Mask, Clear Improvements Charcoal Mask, Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask

Clarins Ombre Matte Shadows

Hey Guys!

So todays post is about the new Clarins Ombre Matte cream to powder shadow pots* are a new generation with a silky lightweight texture with mattifying qualities. I was lucky enough to get the chance to review these and i must say i do love them!

The really nice thing about these shadows is the texture. Although its pretty much written in the name but these shadows are really creamy, and mousse-like texture to the immediate touch, however when applied to the lids they become really easily blended and more like a powder shadow. This is really great because it allows the shadows to blend but also apply very easily and accurately. I got 3 of the shades, 05 Sparkle Grey, 02 Nude Pink, 06 Earth, which again speak for the names, Nude pink being a pretty Nude Pink, Earth being a lovely Brown etc…

I would say these are great for all ages really because of the cream formulae to begin with, it flatters all eye shapes and blends well. however very easily blend-able so great for younger people who just want something pretty, simple and easy to apply.

My favourite shade is ‘Sparkle Grey‘ because I’m not only obsessed with grey but i love a little glam every so often and this shadow contains little sparkles that just look stunning on the lids when creating a smokey eye. Paired with a little silver shimmer in the inner corner and your good to go!

I would suggest using a primer with the shadows, although they are pretty long lasting on their own, a primer will help keep any minor creasing at bay.

Until Next Time

NARS Dual-Intensity Eyeshadows

Hey Guys!

I was recently lucky enough to get the chance to try out some of the new NARS Dual-Intensity Eyeshadows, when you first look at the eyeshadows they look very metallic and you would think that would be how they apply, maybe a little too much? Well i was surprised! These eyeshadows have a really beautiful almost satin finish when applied onto the lids, I will say that the darker ones more so than the lighter shades as the lighter ones do tend to have more of a metallic effect.

when swiping my brush into the miniature shadows i wasn’t sure how the pigmentation would transfer onto my lids, but again, i was surprised, rather impressed as i have never seen anything like it! The pigmentation of these shadows were of such a lovely consistency, very smooth and creamy, pigmented but not at all crumbly or chalky. just buttery.

you can apply these with either your fingers, a brush, a big fluffy blending brush or wet. When applied wet, the pigmentation is even more vivd. Could that be possible right? Well try it for yourself and see! I love these eyeshadows. I have the shades Subra and Dione. Subra is more of a rustic plum shade, Perfectly described as a ‘black orchid’ great for Autumn/Winter. This is my favourite shadow, its the most pigmented and just complements my eye colour! Dione is one I’ve heard a lot of bloggers talk about recently, its a really pretty champagne beige shade with underlying taupe elements.

I do find with these, that if you’re planning to wear them both day and through to night, use a primer and maybe a slight touch up would be needed but other than that, i can’t say anything bad about these little beauties.

If you haven’t given these a swatch yet, i recommend you do (or don’t) as you may just fall in love with them! These eyeshadows currently retail for £21 UK.

The Magic Of Makeup Revolution

Hi Guys

Todays post is focusing on one of my new favourite drugstore brands Makeup Revolution.

I want to share with you my incredible pigment findings. Pigments are one of my favourite type of product to use, because not only is the pigment usually incredible, it goes further and lasts longer too (in the tub). So who doesn’t want them? well there are a few downsides of course, pigments are loose unless they’re pressed and that can evidently cause fall down, especially ones with larger glitter particles and finding matte pigments are usually a lot more difficult.

Makeup Revolution have a huge range of pigments (eye dust) from shimmery black to bright exuberant copper shades to subtle wearable hues. I have to say, the quality and pigmentation are just to die for. (not literally of course) but if you heard they were £1 each, you’d drop your bags are run right?

Well guess what folks… they ARE just £1! The consistency and pigmentation on these little pigments are incredible, one of my favourite things from the range. If you spray a little MAC Fix Plus or even add some eye drops or solution. These little pigments pack a punch! Plus i find the lasting power of these are really good. Again i would suggest an eye primer/concealer like with all eye products but i don’t find myself needing to go back into the crease to re-blend or add more.

In order from Left to Right (Top Picture)

Row 1 – Starless, Virtuous, Cautious, Panic, Confront.

Row 2 – Shameful, Hysteria, Angelic, Grandeur, Rivalry.

(Bottom Picture)

Row 1 – Mood, Disguise, Flighty, Dynamic

Row 2 – Frolic, Allure, Indirect, Antic

Lone Ranger – Vitality.

IMG_3385

Here are a couple swatches of some of the shades. As you can see, even the black is interesting. Antic is a beautiful shimmer coloured flecks will work perfectly for night outs, evening dos, or (my personal favourite) Christmas Parties!

IMG_3394

Vitality

This pretty silver/grey shade is perfect again for those evening looks, but with this pigment, it works great as a slight highlight in the inner tear duct when doing either a strong or subtle eye look.

IMG_3398

Cautious is a really pretty rose gold, taupe shade which is one of my ultimate favourites in the collection! I love how pigmented it is, how pretty it looks on the eyes and this works great in summer!

IMG_3401

Virtuous Is a taupe/purple plum shade which i love because coming into fall time these are going to be some of the colours i reach for. I will complement any plum/maroon makeup looks and give your eye that little pop.

IMG_3407IMG_3408

Now as you all may know, i am a huge fan of highlighters and dewy, radiant skin. Well these highlighters at just £3 each are some of my favourites this summer. On swatch these look a little crazy intense, am i right? well in actual fact, when applied with a soft fluffy brush like the Real Techniques – Setting Brush or Blush Brush it looks flawless and gives that perfect glowy appearance!

The Gold Highlighter – Golden Lights

The Pink Highlighter – Pink Lights

IMG_3402IMG_3404   IMG_3413

Their palettes are a tricky one, the colours are fabulous and for the price you can’t really complain, but if I’m being really technical the pigmentation isn’t the best. Not with these palettes anyway. One thing i’ve noticed is that when applied on their own, the pigmentation isn’t amazing, but when sprayed with a bit of fix plus or solution spray they are drastically more intense, like with any eyeshadow. The nice thing about these pallets though is that If you are just learning to blend shadows and always feel that you apply way too much, too fast? these are the ones for you, they really help you build the colour and work in that blending, it just takes a little longer.

Redemption Palettes – Iconic 1 , Iconic 2, Romantic Palette.

Okay guys, i know this one was a bit longer, but i wanted to be thorough. So i hope you enjoyed it and that it was at all helpful.

Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick – Pink Quartz

IMG_3303

Hey Guys!

So some of you (if not all) may have seen and heard about the new Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Pink Quartz everywhere. Its been shown in blog posts, youtube videos, magazine and of course on famous celebrities. If you don’t already know, i am obsessed with highlighters, dewy skin, glowing radiance and all that good stuff, but guess what, I’ve never owned a Bobbi Shimmer Brick before?! Yes i know… total disaster right?

I finally picked my first one up, and i decided to try the Pink Quartz because it looked so pretty and natural, a blush/highlighter i could wear not only in spring/summer but that i could wear all year round. as this has enough colour to put a pop of champagne pink onto the cheeks it would work well over the top of any autumn/winter blushes you might like to wear too.

I love this! Its totally owned up to my expectations! Pop this on with a fluffy blush brush like the Real Techniques Blush Brush and you have a radiant complexion. Another great handy thing about this is that it has a really good size mirror, perfect for us girls on the go!

On days where i want a ‘simple’ makeup day. I fill in my brows, apply concealer under my eyes and this all over my face; cheeks, cheekbones, bridge of the nose and a bit on the chin and cupids bow. Then my friends i am good to go!

The perfect ‘Grey’ Nail-polish

Hey Guys!

I have always been the type of person who goes for the pastel pale nail colours over the deep vampy purples or bright pinks, because i am generally a very fair person, although i tan quite olive in the summer, i don’t have naturally very strong, long nails and pale pastel shades help to not only give the appearance of longer nails, but also make me look that little bit more tanned. If you watch my channel, youl probably know that I’m pretty obsessed with the colour grey at the moment! Its pretty much all my wardrobe has been until recently.

However, find the perfect grey polish isn’t like finding the perfect grey top. Its damn right impossible. Although there are some really pretty grey/purple shades out there, thats just it, they’re grey/purple, all the polishes I’ve come across have some kind of blue, taupe or purple tinge/undertone to them and thats not what I’ve been after.

so the search continued…

Until finally… i stumbled across the perfect pastel plane old ‘grey’. Thats it, no fussing, no mixture, just grey. Now i know that all grey polished are combined with the odd colours here and there to make it up, but this is the perfect pastel shade, its not too dark either and it last a long time. The only downside with this is that you may need at least 2-3 coats of the stuff to get a proper opaque look, but to be honest, after the amount of searching I’ve been doing, I’m not too bothered!

The shade is Cool Touch by Maybelline

My White Foundation Miracle – Stargazer

Hey Guys!

So todays post is about a foundation that i discovered.

I was looking through my makeup draws the other day and trying to find something that was in-between my usual self, my tanned self, my pale self and everything in between that! I struggled. I am one of those makeup artists that hate to have an obvious mistake when it comes to picking the correct colour, but we’ve all been there! My favourite foundation is the NARS Sheer Glow,  but again, i purchased this so i can apply it when i self tanned. So inevitably, any other time of year i want to use it, it won’t work AT ALL!

So i decided to have a browse through the internet, checking out other peoples blogs, and reviews on white foundations. This is when i came across multiple people raving about the Stargazer White Foundation.

This foundation is one of the best things I’ve purchased, not only does it work perfectly for mixing with foundations because it is a medium to thick consistency that means you don’t have to use a lot of product in order to see any results (like the MAC face and body) but its for Normal to Dry skin! I HAD to buy!

When this Foundation arrived (which by the way was a lot earlier than expected) I immediately tried it out with my sheer glow. Another amazing thing about this product is that it has very subtle illuminating particles within it that prevent my ‘dewy skin’ foundations from going matte. (which you’ll all probably know i hate). The only downside to this foundation is that the applicator is a lick fiddly, but i can work around that. it would have been better with maybe a pump.

It’s a great foundation and for only £4.49 of amazon, you cannot complain! You can add as little or as much of the white as you want to create the perfect shade for you all year round and I’ve used it nearly every day since!
